What’s the point, indeed? I don’t think I’ve ever written an article about anything in which I have not attracted at least mild criticism. Most of my articles attract strong criticism and even outrageous insults, even when I’m writing about something as mild as loving my family.

Somebody, somewhere is always going to have something negative to say about what we write. If we let that overly influence us, we could not continue to have public voices.

So, you go girl! If you aren’t challenging people, you aren’t doing your job as a public thinker.
