What's so frightening about what's happening right now is how many of Trump's supporters are deliriously happy about attacking the other. I watch their conversations sometimes online, and there's such twist, evil, sickening people — reveling in the idea that the others will suffer now.

Trump has harnessed something ugly and primordial in human nature, something dictators, like Francisco Franco, have long known how to harness in order to secure and maintain power.
