What's really weird is that Putin positions himself as a champion of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Since when have Evangelicals had truck with that? They are supposed to oppose that form of Christianity as much as they do the Western church, i.e., Roman Catholicism.

Looks like opposition to LGBTQ people trumps pretty much everything.
