What’s really sad is that in our secular republic, the Church isn’t in the marriage business at all. States grant licenses, and the privileges, rights, and responsibilities of marriage are all a matter of civil law.

No church anywhere has any say about who may marry, who may not, or what happens within any marriage.

Yet conservative Christians keep carrying on as if other people’s marriages were somehow their rightful business.

One day people are going to look book and wonder why we tolerated so much intolerance.
