What's really disturbing about this is that to read most of the mainstream press, you would believe that a bunch of people were being fired because they were sexting at work.
These conversations that are being portrayed and reported as pornographic and disturbing, which is a complete distortion of reality.
You know, people who work at NSA are highly educated and accomplished. They're professional mathematicians, cryptographers, and linguists. Most of them possess skills that are highly sought after in the corporate world, and working for NSA is much less well paid. People choose to work there because of the cachet, because of the potential payoff later in life with that on their resume.
Talk about the opposite of doing what's best for the country! Firing all these employees isn't going to make NSA better or stronger. It's going to put a hole in the organization that isn't going to be easily filled.
Because believe it or not, it's not easy to find highly skilled cryptological mathematicians, especially when the corporate world is snapping them up as fast as they can.
Republicans are complaining about DEI meaning less qualified people. But here they are firing highly qualified people for no reason. The hypocrisy!
