What’s really discouraging about this incident, is that up until this very day, the school district has shown no inclination to impose any significant punishment on the driver or the principal for their severe ethical lapses. They both retain their jobs, their full salaries, and their usual day-to-day interaction with students.

The district has sent a vicious, homophobic message to every student at every school they are responsible for. They’ve told kids that it’s perfectly okay to lie about us and hate on us. No consequences will apply.
