What really gets me about this is that it feels like a "purity" test. It feels like stigmatizing an entire class of humans as too disgusting to associate with.

The whole language about "a safe space" is about demonizing people.

Yeah, it's a political stunt. Rooted in hatred of the Other. Rooted in scapegoating. Rooted in ostracization and bullying.

Which is something all of us queer people should unite to oppose, because we should be familiar enough with how that feels to fight it tooth and nail.

That certainly includes cisgender lesbians. They should know better and be better than to indulge this transphobic hatred.
