What makes this all the more shocking is that the people who were trying to help the refugees were federal border patrol officers.
Armed Texas cops stopped them from helping, by threat of violence.
Not to be overly dramatic, but the federal government has sole responsibility for the border and theoretically unlimited access to it.
Armed Texas police physically stopping federal officers from saving those people is tantamount to armed rebellion against the United States.
I should add that the Texas cops say there was nobody to rest you at the time they prevented the agents from helping. But I've seen multiple reports that those cops are lying.
