What is not an illusion, however is that a teenager who is prevented from going to high school has their future destroyed. Unless they want to be an Amish farmer or farmer’s wife, a high school education or equivalent is a minimum requirement for any job but the most menial and low-paying.

Trade schools and universities don’t accept people without high school or high school equivalent educations.

Parents who don’t send their children to high school or provide high school equivalent instruction are abusing their children and stealing their futures without their consent.
