What happened in Texas with this case is beyond shocking and outraging. Trying to force a woman to give birth to a non-viable fetus, even though that will put her own health and future fertility at risk is ... unspeakably cruel and grotesque.

The only good coming out of this, if it's coming, is that very many Texans are waking up to how cruel the Texas Republican Party is.

I can only hope that real change comes at the polls next November.
