What an absolute disaster that would be for members of marginalized minorities living in red states. Not only should red states not secede, which they don't have the legal right to do under any circumstances, but if they so much as tried another great civil war should take place, and the leaders of any proposed insurrection should be criminally tried and severely punished, to the fullest extent of the law.

I myself would take up arms to protect LGBTQ citizens in red states if they tried illegally to secede from the Union.
