What a silly argument. I wonder if this guy even knows that modern languages like French and German use the words for man and woman to also mean husband and wife. When a French speaker says "ma femme," he means my wife, not my woman. Of course, he could also choose to say "mon épouse," which is a synonym that makes the marital relationship clear, but that word is more formal and less popular.
His arguments from linguistics don't even make sense if you aren't a monolingual English speaker.
