What a moment! I really enjoyed how you shared it, how you used stream-of-consciousness to invite us all inside the moment. This kind of writing can be difficult to pull off, and you pulled it off well, in my opinion. I think your unconventional style choices end up illuminating rather than distracting, bringing readers in closer rather than pushing them away.
