What a lovely story.

Beyond reminding me of the tremendous love parents have for their children, you bring to mind for me the power of music in language and culture.

One thing I’ve learned acquiring different languages is that music never fully translates. One of the reasons to learn another language, if one has the time and opportunity, is to learn to love the music, which can be like the beating heart of that culture.
