Right now, I'm remembering my first teenage kiss with a Christian farm boy, and how both of us reacted very differently to the crush both of us experienced. He couldn't get over his imaginary fear of an imaginary god punishing him for love. I rejected superstition and religion entirely, in order to be a more healthy, more fulfilled person.
