And, you know, I have actually been to that bar! I went to high school in Ankeny and college in Ames. Many is the weekend back in the early 80s when I would drive to downtown Des Moines for a night out.

Did you ever get to the Question Mark bar and grill? That was my more usual hangout, because they had a younger crowd and I was pretty young.
