What a fascinating article! I've avoided reality TV, so I didn't know about any of this. But I guess I don't really feel surprised that some of these shows were ... What's the right word, unhealthy?

Of course, some of that must really reflect femme shaming in our own gay-male communities, which has been something of a problem since I started coming out in the early 1980s.
