What a bizarre thought. It's almost impossible to imagine that Jesus of the New Testament treating gay people in today's world the way conservative Christians do. It's entirely possible to imagine him endorsing parents for supporting their gay kids. That's entirely consistent with the stories the gospels tell about him. Nothing in the gospels indicates that Jesus had a problem associating with or loving people who did not comply with contemporary sexual mores. In fact, Jesus is well known for not judging. He healed the centurion's male lover without so much as a word of condemnation. Then there's the story of casting the first stone. How have conservative Christians forgotten all this?
