We’re seeing a frustrating lack of action on the part of the Justice Department in investigating the actual, behind-the-scenes conspirators - or at least we’re seeing an apparent lack of action.

I still hold onto hope they might announce indictments and really shake things up. But I don’t hold much hope.

We know Trump is a master manipulator and great with crowds. We know he’s savvy enough to have been able to bring that crowd to DC.

I guess the question is, was he smart enough to actually use it as an attempted cover-up of the behind the scenes stuff? Maybe. Or maybe he was just Trump being Trump.

It’s an interesting question, and I’ll be interested to look at it further, but I’ll be most interested to see the conspirators held to account.
