Well, yes of course. But it's probably important for people to realize that many or most trans folks really do believe (and not without good cause) that their gender arises from innate brain differences, implying that gender is at least in some respects a function of "brain wiring." Sometimes I think we forget this when talking about gender essentialism and feminism. It's a tough subject.
