Well, the pond has mostly melted, but the Canada geese you see there are resting on ice that still exists around the edges. We have just started to get buds on the trees, but are still in that early part of spring where it’s still mostly freezes overnight, and everything is brown and muddy and ugly. Ick. Lol

I believe you got that duck species right, but these guys are transients. We never see them during the warmer weather, only during migration.

Sam and Elsa are both quite lovely. Let’s see if I have any recent photos of the two of them.

There we go! I broke that heating pad out for my arm after I injured it shoveling snow. But as you can see, Elsa has appropriated it. It totally belongs to her now. ;-)

She’ll lie on it in the hopes that some mysterious force will turn it on and it will become warm and lovely. Occasionally I make that happen. Hehe.

Sam is doing what he does best, giving soulful looks he knows will melt any heart and get him just about anything he asks for. ;-)

So while we are all pretty chilly here, will enjoy your spring vicariously. Do keep those photos coming!
