Well said. American corporate culture is long due for a philosophical overhaul. Where I live, people working full time for fast food chains qualify for food assistance and subsidized housing. That’s how poorly they’re paid.
Taxpayers are effectively subsidizing the corporations that run fast food restaurants by helping to pay their labor costs.
If corporations cannot regulate themselves with respect to paying living wages, then our elected representatives must do things like pass higher minimum wage laws and more favorable labor organizing laws.
When people working full time can’t afford to live, things are badly out of balance.
