Well, one would hope that Christians would never follow the example of Jesus in calling a woman a dog because she wanted her daughter healed ...
But anyway, it's not just Evangelical Protestants in the United States who are strongly sexist. The Roman Catholic Church is one of the most committed sexist institutions in the nation.
When a Catholic diocese in California fired a woman teacher with cancer, in violation of state and federal employment law, the Church fought to have itself declared exempt from following employment law. They recently won that case at the US Supreme Court.
You probably can't pin that directly to sexism, but the fact is that the Catholic Church in the United States is run entirely by men. Women are not permitted to lead, because of Catholic doctrine.
Only priests can become bishops, and only bishops can run dioceses. And of course it's priests who run parishes. Women can be teachers of children, though, until they get cancer and become inconvenient to support.
Even if it costs more money taking a case all the way to the Supreme Court than just being decent and giving the poor woman disability pay or something.
And let's not even talk about the Catholic Church's attempts to outlaw contraception and abortion.
Yes, Evangelical Protestants in the United States are viciously sexist. But so is the Catholic Church, to the extent that determining which one is more viciously sexist is hard to determine. Whichever "wins," it's only by a nose.
