Well, many long-distance runners swear that training improves their joint health, and I have found that that is true for me.

I was being a bit facetious when I described myself as a maniac. Distance running is good for the human body.

My decade of running 60 plus miles a week doesn’t seem to have had a downside, and professionals who study this sort of thing say my experience is quite ordinary.
