Well, I definitely agree with you that heroic Texas legislators may save voting in Texas, but I don’t see them having any effect at all on a national level.

The US Senate is simply not going to pass any kind of voting reform to stop Republican shenanigans. They don’t have the numbers, and foul Democratic senators like Joe Manchin are going to block them at all cost, no matter what Texas Democratic legislators do.

The Democratic party at the national level doesn’t have the appetite to do. Joe Biden didn’t even breathe the word filibuster in his speech the other night. He isn’t going to do anything at all, and he’s made that abundantly clear. He talks a good game, but action is not in his playbook on this matter.

I wish national level Democrats would follow the example of Texas legislators, but I don’t see any sign that it’s going to happen.
