Well, as something of a wine guy, I could observe that while "natural" wines are increasing somewhat in popularity in Europe, they are in North America too, and in both places they remain fringe.
Making wine without traditional preservatives is difficult and can up the cost of a bottle significantly — because wine is likely to be attacked by bacteria and turn to vinegar without traditional preservatives.
It's actually French winemakers who perfected the art of preserving wine, and traditional French winemakers are not shy about using preservatives.
There certainly is a movement of winemakers — in France, Germany, Italy, and North America,. especially — who are pioneering organic and "natural" wine, but you won't run across one of those bottles very often. They remain rare, and priced at something of a premium.
