We still have the swimsuit police in many places. I watched a YouTube video not too long ago in which two police officers in the Miami area approached two woman on the beach and told them they had to leave because their swimsuits were too skimpy.

The cops claimed that the women were wearing thongs, though that's not what their swimsuits looked like to me.

The women refused to leave, pointing out that their swimsuits covered more of their bodies than the swimsuits worn by many of the men around them. The cops handcuffed them with a fair amount of violence and pain involved, and took them to jail.
