We have this thing called family restrooms designated for a mother or a father to bring their young children in. They aren't universal, and you won't find them in like maybe fast food restaurants. But in many larger establishments, you will. I think they contain pulldown shelves for changing diapers and so forth, although honestly I don't know, because I've never been in one.

You do see kids in men's rooms with their fathers, although it's usually boys with their fathers. I would be pretty startled if a dad walked into the men's room with a young girl.

Something like that actually did happen with me at a beach changing facility several years ago. A dad walked in carrying a three or four-year-old girl, just as I was stripping out of my swimming stuff. I turned scarlet, but he didn't seem to care so I guess it was all right.

As far as what kind of amenities you find in men's rooms, that just runs a gamut. Usually there's a row of smelly urinals and a few cubicles, then some sinks with mirrors. But that's about it.

Oh, unless you count the hot air blowers that you're supposed to dry your hands with when they don't provide paper towels. 🤣
