We have already seen this happen in the United States. When the Trump administration began handing out waivers to religious organizations like adoption agencies, those agencies didn’t stop at barring LGBTQ parents. They went after members of minority religions as well.

Infamously, an Evangelical Christian state-funded adoption agency in North Carolina refused to accept Jews and Catholics as prospective parents.

It’s pretty astonishing that we would roll back civil rights to that kind of level, but we have, all in the name of discriminating against members of gender and sexual minorities.

This way lies perdition. It’s astonishing to me that people don’t understand the difference between the right of people to practice the religion of their choice and the right of religious organizations to discriminate against members of minorities they don’t like.
