Wanna hear something funny?

The US military, the ultimate projection of American dominance hierarchy, understands this.

One of the lessons pounded into my head as a young officer was that I had to always be open to admitting that I was wrong. Always question data. Never assume. Never be afraid to change my mind. Never be afraid to tell people under my command that I was changing an order because my former position was uniformed or incorrect.

The most effective leaders (in a hierarchy) are the ones who are seen as least hierarchal.

So… I’m not sure what that says, but it’s fascinating.
