As a longtime LGBTQ/HIV activist, I can seriously appreciate your point of view here.

At this point in my life activism mostly means I write on Medium and promote stories all over social media.

As a former street activist, I’ve had to learn the hard way that online debates distress and deplete me while energizing trolls.

Storytelling is powerful activism. Sharing experiences and engaging empathy moves hearts.

Debating people who disparage my lived truths does nothing but eat away at my ability to write powerful stories.
