Truly shocking! I was horrified when I saw that sign.

Where I live in Michigan, we’ve had some ugly protests. Confederate flags, guns, the works. I think the protesters are very much on board with the mentality you’re pointing out.

But if you want something at least a little uplifting, I learned the other day that only 16% of Michiganders support the goals of the protesters.

And among those 16% are many who are not fully on board. Most people here are down for being responsible and loving their neighbors.

Of course, a number like 16% is still shocking. And we must call attention to the attitudes behind it, as you did so well.

But take heart! Most Americans aren’t down for that “sacrifice the weak” cruelty.
