True, but the whole named generation thing can be a little wide of the mark. I'm technically a boomer, born at the tail end of the generation, but I was also too young for Woodstock, hippy communes, and free love. I remember Vietnam body counts on the news when I was a small boy. I remember gas lines because of an energy crisis. I remember Nixon leaving office in shame. But my adult experiences began with the HIV pandemic and were shaped by Reagan-era war mongering and the attacks on the labor movement the ultimately led to today's huge wealth disparities.
That's probably not what people think of when they think of boomers.
