To an LGBTQ person like me, This legal trend is not just disturbing but genuinely frightening. Members of gender and sexual minorities exist in tiny numbers, pitted against huge majorities of conservative religious people.

If these new legal ideas come into the mainstream, our lives stand to be drastically negatively impacted. Our liberty would forever be constrained by the religious whims of the majority.

That is not how equality and liberty are supposed to work.
