This would seem logical and obvious, but not so much in very conservative churches, as I'm sure you know. I grew up being taught that even looking at a woman with sexual desire equals sin. "Lusting in one's heart,' as it's called. So before I realized that I was an atheist when I was 16, I believed I sinned every time I looked at another guy and experienced sexual attraction. I didn't have to kiss him or put my hands on his body, I just had to want to. That was enough to be a sinner.
