This story just will not die. This fantasy that transgender "furry" students are using litter boxes at school is being pushed by the Republican establishment, because it works for them even though it's false.

In Michigan where I live, the co-chair of the Republican Party posted to her Facebook page that a particular school district was providing litter boxes for transgender "furry" students. The district superintendent and the chair of the school board both spoke to reporters to deny the claims, and the superintendent spoke up to talk about how ridiculous it was that he even had to deny the claim. Since it was made up from the thin air.

But that did not stop the Republican machine in Michigan from continuing to spread that story. They keep using it to fundraise and to enrage parents.

That false Facebook post is still up. I reported it to facebook, but they replied that it didn't break any of their rules.

I guess because truth just doesn't matter anymore.
