This sort of public confrontation is getting ridiculous. I just came from reading an article about a nonbinary teacher in the US state of Maryland, hardly a conservative bastion, who was hounded out of their job this month after local activists outed them, not just for the fact that they're non-binary but because they do a drag king performances on weekends — which school administrators had been aware of and approved of.

Once the local anti-trans contingent found out about it and started a social media hate campaign, the threats of violence started coming in.

The teacher resigned, and they posted in defense of the schoo —l wanting people to know that their supervisors did not pressure them to resign. Townspeople people are so outraged that the teacher was legitimately afraid to go back to school.

Too many people had threatened to kill them.

Not only that, but they say they've decided to leave teaching atogether, after spending years getting a master's degree in education.

That's what those lists are for. That's exactly what those lists are for.
