This rings so true for me, and I think most gay men would testify that what we are most afraid of in terms of ridicule by straight men is being told we have too many feminine traits.

We don’t have to have straight men tell us that feminine traits are bad. Their presumptive badness is so baked into society that no telling is necessary.

In fact, many or even most gay slurs derive from ridicule of the feminine.
