This reminds me of an "oh, so serious; oh, so ick" article I read yesterday against my better judgment, because it kept appearing at the top of my Medium feed, and I finally gave in and clicked.
A conservative U.S. Christian used the article to argue that Christians should not respect other belief systems and/or faiths.

Anyhoo, as he argued on for paragraphs about why Christians should only respect true Christian belief systems, I kept asking myself, "true Christian by whose definition, bucko?"
Given his brief but impassioned sidetrack into homophobia and Islamophobia, it's not hard to see the sort of definitions he's using.
It's also not hard to see that his blatant call to be narrow-minded and exclusionary is fuel for the accelerating trend of departures from formal Christianity.
