This! Peering across the border these days is scary for me as an American. I lived in Canada (Montreal) for years. My gay partner and I fostered and raised a child together there when such a thing was almost unheard of in the U.S. Our neighbors welcomed us with open arms, inviting us into their homes and lives as fellow parents. We never detected even the slightest hostility or even disapproval.

Of course, Quebec is a bit different from the rest of Canada, but our friends from Ontario (we worked with people in London and Kitchener) were no less accepting.

My Canadian friends today are horrified by the U.S. MAGA movement. So, I'm stunned to see the CPC going full-out MAGA, especially since the smart money season winning the next federal election.
