This particular Archbishop of Canterbury seems to particularly revel in his power and privilege in plenty of areas. Just this year he reached out to American Episcopalian bishops in same-sex marriages to let them know that their spouses were not invited to the Anglican Communion’s Lambeth Conference.

The man is an avowed homophobic bigot and a demonstrated misogynist. I’m not the least bit surprised he’d stand up for a powerful sex abuser.

That seems to be just who he is. What’s sad is that Anglicans allow him to lead their Church. He brings discredit to Christians everywhere.
