This isn’t quite the same thing, but years ago when I was logging a lot of miles training for marathons, I often meditated while in the mid part of my run if it was a long run.

I found the cadence of my breath and my feet hitting the ground to be very conducive to a deep meditative state.

I didn’t try it at the beginning of runs when my body was acclimating, or at the end when I had to think hard about staying on pace and pushing.

But in the middle when everything was clicking along just perfectly? I’ve seldom experienced such perfect meditation.
