This is why my partners and I could just never buy into sexual “fidelity.” The whole cheating thing is so prevalent and toxic that we just opted out of the whole business. We didn’t promise one another never to have sex with somebody else, and so our occasional acts of doing so were not fraught or significant.

I found that a lot healthier than sexual jealousy, honestly.
