This is such an important point. I have often in my life as a gay man and queer activists found myself in the position of speaking up against oppression in groups where I knew for sure my speaking up would be very unpopular.

Speaking up like that takes courage. Genuine courage.

And somehow, I’m the one who gets called a snowflake for it? I’ve never been able to wrap my mind around that. If I were such a snowflake, I’d just put my head down and be quiet in the face of my own oppression.
