This is such an important article. American society has reached a nadir of mistreating workers, something we haven’t seen since robber barons like Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Gould ruled exploitative enterprises that turned them into billionaires while impoverishing their employees.

Their excesses led to a labor movement that briefly turned the United States into a paradise for workers, who finally began to share in American prosperity.

The Republican Party starting with Reagan has systematically destroyed the power of unions and collective bargaining. And now men like Bezos get away with treating workers like dirt, exposing them to health-destroying conditions while paying wages they can barely survive on.

This is the future for the bulk of Americans, unless we work together to do something about it.
