This is sooooooo true. Want to get a quick cheap laugh in a work environment when there are no women around? Crack a joke about "the old ball and chain" or talk about how dumb some sexy blonde is ... but how you'd love to do her anyway.

Want to be derided fast?

Object to that kind of "humor."

As an out gay man in the office, I used to get a pass from participating, but I didn't get a pass for objecting.

"Don't you know it's just a joke? Lighten up!"

Ah, but watch faces flush crimson and feet shuffle out of dodge toot sweet if one of the "funny boys" realizes that a woman overheard.

It's like misogyny is okay if men keep it a secret from women. But in my opinion, they really do know better.
