This is political theater on the part of both parties. We go through this periodically whenever Congressional leadership wants to divert attention away from something else. Is anybody paying attention anymore? How many times does the boy have to cry wolf before he realizes nobody cares?

It sure would be lovely if our elected leaders focused on governing instead of on silly little shows of petulance we all know aren’t real.
