This is just an aside, but I really love Uber. Meaning that I really love the services it provides. It’s cheap, efficient, fast, and much better than the dedicated taxi system it’s replacing.

But I won’t use Uber anymore, because I know they treat their workers horribly. Speaking to the moral issue you wrote about, I have decided that for me using Uber is immoral.

If morality really is going to dominate Big Tech politics, then more of us had better take principled stands. Because Big Tech definitely has the ability to do great evil, or at least to enable it.

We don’t have to just accept that.
