This is interesting topic to explore! I remember a few years ago when it was fashionable for gay people to say that they would never date anyone in the closet. But I think that's a pretty sweeping position that negates or ignores the experiences of a lot of people — like you and your partner.

Should I (or anyone) feel less than happy for either of you? You say that you're happy with the relationship, and that your partner is the most important person in the world to you. That sounds pretty nice to me. So, should it be up to me (or anyone) to judge your happiness?
