This is fascinating! I have read a couple of these authors, but I honestly had no idea that the queer crime genre was so prominent so early on.

It’s not a genre that I have paid a tremendous amount of attention to in general, so a lot of these authors have escaped my attention.

Some of your photos ring bells for the me though, because I remember seeing the books on shelves in gay bookstores.
